Andre Verdier
Established in 1859 in Celles-sur-Durolle by Antoine Delignère, the history of Verdier cutlery and its family is rooted in the region. More than a profession, cutlery is a vocation. Six generations of cutlers have succeeded one another to offer the most exhaustive range of products in the French cutlery industry. André Verdier is first and foremost the name of the grandfather of the current directors, Ronan and Aubry Verdier. The brand was created in 1937 by André Verdier himself, who used it as a pledge to quality: “Only a perfect product, without a single flaw, deserved to bear his name”. This same philosophy is still applied by the two brothers to every production run.

Today, the André Verdier brand is exported to over 40 countries, with more than 6 million pieces produced each year.

Sheldon and Hammond is proud to be the distributor of Andre Verdier from 2025, a brand that has a common thread that hasn't changed for over 200 years: the cutlery is steadily investing in new technologies and acquiring new skills. The protection and transmission of know-how and local history has been a relentless struggle, one that continues to this day.
